MY SICK BABY
July 2, 3 and 4th Dawsy as burning up with a fever and had a sore throat. He also woke up on the 5th with his eyes glued shut. I hate it when he's sick but at the same time I love to take care of him and he's alot more lovey and snuggly when he's sick. I love that part! ha He's all better now and back to his rotten self!
STRONG and TRUE
To be a friend takes a lot of strength. There will be times when you will question why you ever got involved with this person. Times like these are the true test of friendship. It is easy to be friends when you're sharing good times and fun.
However, when the friendship is challenged you may be tempted to get up and leave. This is when the integrity of the friendship is challenged. You may feel afraid to trust and share your deepest secrets. Friendship is not for the weak of heart. Real friendship takes strength.
What is a true friend? A true friend says what they think their friend needs to hear even when they know that their friend may get angry. A true friend doesn't leave because they are afraid to be with you or because they don't agree with your decisions. A true friend doesn't leave when the fun stops and things get uncomfortable There are just a few of the values that real friends hold dear. In short, A true friend recognizes the value of the friendship and holds it sacred.

| Hi girls and fellow moms. I was sitting here thinking about something and wanna share it. Due to some recent events, It has occurred to me even more than ever that being a good parent does mean to love protect discipline guide and nurture your children but one thing that is equally important to their success in life is to teach and prepare them to take care of themselves on their own. You wont alwys be there to protect and shelter your kids and its so important that are taught about the world, good and bad and how to handle themselves. Not only morally but also financially and how to take responsibility for themselves with independence and control. And also how to have a good work ethic and that not everything is fair. They need to know how to take dissappointments and handle them gracefully. This was just on my heart and I wanted to share. Remember we are raising future adults. |

JIBBER JABBER
Hey there girls. Sorry I haven't posted alot lately. I just seem to work, and hang out with friends alot now and am not home alot. Between work, volleyball, softball and going out with friends I don't have time for much else.
As some of you know, Daws has been at Camp for the last week and he comes home tomorrow!!! I have missed that little booger more than he will ever know. It was sooo hard for me to let him go and I was sick for 2 days with worry but then realized that he would be just fine and he is probably having the time of his life. The hardest part for me was the lack of contact. If I was able to text or call him everyday like normal, it would have been so much easier. Its hard not knowing what your child is doing or if they are miserable or having fun. I can't wait to hear how is trip went. One thing that may have helped him is that my friend Tabatha's kids are all at that camp too and he knows them very well since he attends school with them and he sees them at every vball and softball game! I was relieved to hear that he would have kids there that he knows so he wouldn't be so nervous. I will let you all know how his camp experience went as soon as I hear!
Ever since Dawson left for camp, Max, our dog has been sick to his tummy. First he had diarrhea, then constipation and he even threw up a couple of times. He has NEVER been sick before and I couldn't figure out what was wrong and then I realized, he must miss Dawson. He is never without Dawson. When Daws goes to his daddy's, Max goes with him. When does comes here, Max comes with him. Daws feels more comfortable having Max with him at each home so he can sleep with him at night and Shawn and I agreed to allow it. Anything we can do to provide some consistency and comfort in this situation we are willing to do. Hopefully, once Daws comes home Max will be all better :)
As some of you may know, I am on a volleyball team with Steve and a bunch of friends from work and I am having an absolute blast although I totally stink and am the weakest link! ha So far my teammates have been very encouraging and supportive and don't make me feel bad for not being good at it. I must say tho that I seem to get better each game! Its sand volleyball and its so hard to manuever on sand!
Steve is also on a softball team with a bunch of friends from work. Even tho I was asked to play on the team, I politely declined! ha I am just not the athletic type. My extent of athletisism (sp?) is gymnastics, dance etc. Not any sports that involve balls! ha I am way too girly and not tough in that sense.
Getting involved in sports with friends from work has opened a whole new world for me. I am having so much fun. My life used to consist of taking care of Daws, working, cleaning and watching tv. Now I rarely watch t.v. and am so much more active and Daws loves being a part of everything. He looks forward to Thursday and Friday nights due to vball and softball. He gets to run around and play and sees me being active and having fun. Its been good for us. I can't wait to finally be able to sign him up for basketball. I never had the help getting him to games and practices before and didn't have the schedule to do it myself but now I do!!! He is so excited to finally be able to play sports!!!
Steve and I met a bunch of friends at Ricks Tavern for some fun and dancing and I may have had a few too many glasses of wine and was hungover all day Sunday. I am just too old to drink like that and have learned my lesson. From now on, my limit is 3 glasses. Even tho it took 2 days to recover, I still have a blast! I haven't danced all night long like that in years and it felt so good! I don't miss my homebody days at all :) Well, I will post some pics in a bit and will post again later on another topic. I hope everyone had a good Monday! Later Gators!
