AMAZING MIRACLE

Some of you may have seen on the news a few months ago that a fireman that was on a boat doing a recue training session, fell off the boat and into the water and was under there for 20 to 30 minutes. It happened in Hamilton Ohio and the guy was pulled out and rushed to Ft. Hamilton Hospital and he was then transfered to Drake Hospital where I work. Well, it is a true miracle that he survived and today he was discharged from Drake and they had a huge press conference and we all got to go! Channel 5 was there and everything. After the press conference, we got to go outside and watch him get on a fire truck and he left with style! We were all bawling..........it was sooo touching. The guy is only 32 years old and he's married with two small children. It was so cool to see him walk out of the hospital after being in a coma and told that he wasn't going to ever wake up! AMAZING! I took some pictures. He's the guy in the camo shorts.

that is a true miracle! Are there any lasting effects from the accident? I can't begin to imagine the emotions his wife is having. Wow!

He spoke pretty well. He's still going to be getting outpatient speech therapy and physical therapy but they expect a full recovery and he will eventually return to work as a fireman as soon as the docs say he's ready.
